I haf adia

Whoever wants to pitch in can do so

So Arafah day is around the corner

And its a very special day for us so much so that

1. It is the day on which the religion was perfected and Allah’s Favour was completed.❣️

2. It is a day of ‘Eid for the people who are in that place.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Yawm ‘Arafah (the day of ‘Arafah), Yawm al-Nahr (the Day of Sacrifice ) and Ayyam al-Tashriq (the 3 days following Yawm al-Nahr) are ‘Eid (festival) for us, the people of Islam. These are days of eating and drinking.” This was narrated by the authors of al-Sunan. It was reported that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab said: “It – i.e., the verse ‘This day I have perfected…’ was revealed on a Friday, the Day of ‘Arafah, both of which – praise be to Allah – are ‘Eids for us.”

3. It is a day by which Allah swore an oath in Surah Buruj

4. Fasting on this day is an expiation for two years.💖

5. It is the day on which Allah took the covenant from the progeny of Adam.💞

6. Allah descends to the lowest heaven 💝

Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No days are better to Allah than the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.” A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, are they better or time spent waging jihad in the way of Allah?” The Prophet said, “They are better than time spent waging jihad in the way of Allah. No day is better to Allah than the day of Arafat. Allah descends to the lowest heaven and He boasts to the inhabitants of the heavens about the inhabitants of the earth, saying: Look at My servants, appearing disheveled and dusty! They came from every mountain pass hoping for My mercy. They do not see My punishment, yet they do not see that on no day are more saved from Hellfire than the day of Arafat.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Arna’ut

We cannot possibly let a day like this go to waste so I came up with this idea within the spur of the moment that we could all share a specific dua that we truly badly want come to life here on this platform so that each of us could ask for the other on the blessed day of Arafah

Because supplication of a Muslim in the abscence of his Muslim brother is accepted according to this hadith

Last but not the least

May Allah accept all your heartfelt duas this Arafat and save us all from the Fire 🫶🏻

Aameen 🤲🏻

I haf adia : if you are wondering if its german or spanish , its my 2 year old toddler language 😹

Translates to I have an idea 😝

Leave your duas in the comments below and maybe someone will include them in their precious list of duas for Arafah 🤲🏻

I know i definitely will 🥰💗

Culture vs. Religion

.

Do we have a clear winner here? In my opinion, we do, as it should, for us all as Muslims😏

Before the rise of Islam, during the days of ignorance there used to be many illogical standards and practices within the Arabs where they would bury their daughters alive (for example) due to the society considering it shameful for daughters to be born. This was just in Arabia. There were other countries around the world doing stranger and absurd things. Subsequently, Islam came and changed the viewpoint we had of this worldly life making us proud of our religion and all it's golden teachings.

However, it is absolutely true yet disgusting that men and women to this day suffer in one way or another due to others lacking Islamic knowledge, be it prior or post marriage.

I don't have to list out the various rules and expectations of our fellow Lankans in this day and age. I'm guessing you are all fully aware of many of them 😅 But what's saddening is that many of these expectations go out of the bounds of Islam. That's when the real problem occurs.

Today, I see many Muslims, men and women doing things in the name of culture giving no priority to Islam at all.

A question to ponder : Don't we all have our main goal as Jannah (Paradise)?
Then why is it that we run after these cultural things, fearing what the society will say?😟

Our Fitrah (deep conscious) knows that if we follow what society says neglecting Islamic teachings, neither is it going to diminish our sins nor is it going to raise our rewards in front of  Allah (the Creator of the Worlds)

Allah says, he made us into tribes and nations, and then proceeds to say that the most noble to Him are the righteous ones.
Shouldn't we strive to be from the righteous then?🤔

It's utterly disappointing when learned Muslims of this era shame others based on culture. Being Muslims, we should we proud of what Islam teaches and we should never give it up, be it for culture or anything else.

Allah says in the Qur'an:
Allah goes to the extent to say that if parents (who are so honoured in Islam beyond measure) make you go against Islam in any way, then do not obey them. Such is Islam! 😇

So my dear sisters and brothers in Islam, do not give precedence to culture over faith. In the end of the day it is faith that is going to get you admission into Jannah

Regardless of what people say of you sticking to faith, you will be in a high status with Allah and the angels if your intentions are pure so always chose faith over culture and be true and loyal to your religion and without a doubt Allah will never fail you

Take care
 Salams ✌

A shopping spree

The other day a huge shopping center opened up in the city we live in and I was so hyped to go there and purchase some goodies for my humble abode. It took a truckload of convincing and begging and finally, the day arrived. All of us got ready including my cute little munchkin and we stepped out. We were all headed our separate ways once we got there and we zoomed through the aisles with joy on our faces for it was reasonable pricing.

My little one didn't trouble me at all throughout the day since she was fresh and well-fed from home. Not to forget the hours of sleep she had beforehand.

However, that's beside the point. I was given an amount that I could spend on myself, the house, and my daughter. I was more than ecstatic since it had been ages since I went shopping for myself.

With the given amount, I was roaming around taking all that I thought I needed.

We all met at the counter coincidentally yet necessarily. Finding out I had more in my cart than I could take back with me. So I had to return all that I took except the most essential.

P.s. I'm not saying you that I'm broke although it may sound like it.

After returning home, I was satisfied with all that I had gotten and all that I left behind. Content.

Upon pondering, a thought struck me. This experience was sort of like an analogy to life.

We went to the shopping center just like we were sent on Earth

Our time here is limited just like the money we got to spend on ourselves

The good deeds and bad deeds we do will come with us leaving all of the materialistic things behind just like the things I bought and the things I didn't.

Subhan Allah

After this deep thought occurred, I was more focused on my goal. The real purpose of all Muslims, Jannah.

Be Kind

😊😊

If it was in my power to stop all injustice that I see before my eyes I would do so wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, though, there are times when you have to to let go of things that you used to do before, for the sake of your own sanity. Letting go doesn't mean that you do not care. For in fact, it could be bothering you the most in this life.

When a mishap happens to others and you are not able to help, it's the worst situation. Specially, when they thought that you would help them.

It's not about being a goody-two-shoes. It's about having a heart and being kind.

Being kind doesn't decrease your dignity in any sort of way.

Jarir bin Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:

"Whoever does not show mercy to the people, Allah will not show mercy to him."

The fact that you are prevented from Allah's mercy just because you didn't show mercy to his creation is a great sign of how important it is to be kind to others.

So be kind and you'll soon be a kindness magnet to those around you. Remember, what goes around comes around.

Peace ✌🏻

General viewpoint of young Muslim girls about men

"All men are trash"

Have you ever come across this phrase in your life?😬

No?

Thank Allah you haven't😥

Coming across individuals who utter these types of phrases can give you a vague idea of how their minds work and how much they respect others in general

And my oh my, I don't know about you but I don't want to turn these individuals into acquaintances let alone friends

So imagine my bewilderment when I first heard it from a good friend of mine 😨

Doesn't she fear Allah the Creator of men and women?

Allah the Almighty created Adam peace be upon him before  Hawwa so when you call all men "trash" you are referring to the source of creation as trash

Okay even if you meant the men of this generation, then what about your dad and your own brother who share the same blood as you 😱

As natural as anyone else would, I spoke to her about it and  disagreed with her politely

She was defiant and stood her ground so I made a small dua for her in my mind and let it slide

Allah says that He honoured the children of Adam peace be upon him

{ ۞ وَلَقَدۡ كَرَّمۡنَا بَنِیۤ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلۡنَـٰهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَرَزَقۡنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتِ وَفَضَّلۡنَـٰهُمۡ عَلَىٰ كَثِیرࣲ مِّمَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَا تَفۡضِیلࣰا }

And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with At-Taiyibat (lawful good things), and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preference.

[Surah Al-Isrâ’: 70]

Allah says

{ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفۡسࣲ وَ ٰحِدَةࣲ وَخَلَقَ مِنۡهَا زَوۡجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنۡهُمَا رِجَالࣰا كَثِیرࣰا وَنِسَاۤءࣰۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِی تَسَاۤءَلُونَ بِهِۦ وَٱلۡأَرۡحَامَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ رَقِیبࣰا }

O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you.

[Surah An-Nisâ': 1]

As you all already know Allah created Hawwa peace be upon her from the ribs of Adam peace be upon him

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "Treat women nicely, for a woman is created from a rib, and the most curved portion of the rib is its upper portion, so, if you should try to straighten it, it will break, but if you leave it as it is, it will remain crooked. So treat women nicely."

So imagine insulting your own origin

After all this talk, I want to remind you girls that we are Muslims and our men are noble

They do everything in their power to provide for us and safeguard our dignity😌

It's when social media spreads these kinds of ideologies that 'all men are trash' that girls of young age (who are not taught by their parents or do not see live examples of goodness from their fathers or brothers) start believing and some even go to the extent of hating on them and badmouthing them to their friends

For quite some years now there's been a thing called feminism where they proclaim that men are equal to women and either should be able to do what the other can

Dear sisters, don't let your worth decrease by comparison. Islam honored the status of women and gave them a special high ranking.

Allah asks the men of faith to treat us womenfolk carefully for we are precious in Allah's sight

Our men:-

Tire themselves day and night to keep us happy😊

Bring us what we ask without displaying annoyance

Support us through weak times💪

Go out of their way to show us their gratitude for the things we do for them

Pour love on us continuously💖

Be patient with us during mood swings and time of the month😉

Laugh with us instead of against 😁

In summary, they really do care about us😍

After all this ( and I'm sure there are many more) shouldn't we at least be grateful to them?

Sure we too do a lot as daughters, wives and mothers (and grandmothers- let's not forget the old folk 😄)

Let's be optimistic about the world because this world really doesn't deserve our sorrow or pessimism

The little time that each of us has on Earth (دار فانية) is precious so let's make it worthwhile with good thoughts and let's think the best about our men 😀

Honestly speaking we can't do in a world free of men 😎

Lastly, let the thought not slip your mind that the greatest of all humans was a man, the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him💓

May Allah give us all a sound understanding of His religion and make us steadfast and good mannered

May He give us appreciation towards our men and help us support them in our own way

You've got nothing to fear if your intentions are pure

'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him), reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The deeds are considered by the intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intention. So whoever emigrated for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration will be for Allah and His Messenger; and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration would be for what he emigrated for".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

There are two ways scholars have understood this hadith. The first one being that according to how pure your intention for a certain act of worship is the reward differs in amount and the other being that intentions decide whether an act of worship is acceptable or not.

Which brings us to the coclusion that there's a possibility that we end up doing an act of worship like one of the 5 daily prayers with so much hardship after a long day of tiring work and stress only to have it not accpted or to get 0 rewards for it.

Have you ever heard of the phrase quality over quantity?

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your attire but He looks at your hearts and accomplishments".

[Muslim].

Moreover, there has always been an evidence oblivious yet clear to the ones who focus on it, that good intentions elevate everything.

Likewise a dua made sincerely with good intentions is never rejected.

A cheap gift given with a good heart will last for years more than an expensive gift given with a bad thought.

It's not about what's in the pockets

It's about what's in the hearts ❤️😉

So my dears whatever you do in life do it with a pure intentions and good will come seeking you without a doubt.

Sure, there will be tough times. However, due to your good intentions the tough times will be handled with wisdom and care in sha Allah.

{ وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرۡغَب }

And to your Lord (alone) turn all your (intentions and hope and) invocations

[Surah Ash-Sharh: 8]

Seeking clarity

She set herself on a trail to attain contentment
Along the way she met joy and happiness
But she wasn't satisfied
She realised none of them were what she was looking for
Valley, hill and mountain she climbed
Lake, stream and river she crossed
Quest to clarity she called it
With each passing day she grew weary
Never ever did she lose hope though
She hoped and prayed for better days
For herself and those whom she loves

Peace 🕊️ isn't supposed to give you sorrow she thought
Every moment of happiness was short lived
Making her question the purpose of life itself
She dreaded freling happy
Since sadness was bound to tag along
All these feelings go hand in hand she thought
One gives rise to another making them all interconnected

You see she might act childish but deep down she's a woman of great intellectuality and wisdom
She's responsible and loving
She knows her worth
She gives and doesn't expect in return
She's determined to seek the truth and thrive

Destiny is not a joke
Allah doesn't decree except with insight
Certainty in the Lord's mercy
She knew He wouldn't let her down
There's goodness in everything
Even if it seems harmful from the outside
Never judge a book by the cover they say
True to every letter

She contemplates on every little and big thing
Is life really worth all the struggle?
Then she sets her thinking correct
This is a testing place not a resting place
Our purpose here is to gather enough good deeds for our hereafter

It was nearly dawn
Allah has descended to the lowest heaven
She spread out her prayer mat
Did the ablution
Wore her prayer cloth
Prayed two rakahs of Tahajjud
Raised her hands and supplicated to the One above
Unbeknownst to her, tears welled up and started flowing down her cheeks
She opened up her Quran and began reciting
Verily in the rememberance of Allah do hearts find rest
She felt relieved
Why should she climb mountains and cross rivers when the answer to her confusion and sorrow is far more closer and in reach

Sure there will be struggle but with Allah by your side anything is possible and everything is worth it

She is me and you and anyone who's willing to be
So let's be the better version of ourselves each day
We will be magnets to success in this life and the next

Peace 🕊️

{اَلدُّعَاء مُخُّ اَلْعِبَادَةِ}

Greatest joy of life

In the name of Allah the Most Beneficial, the Most Merciful

😆Wohoo, soooo excited for today's article

Since the time my mind fathomed the beauty and vastness of marriage, I always imagined what life would be like for me as a married woman

Ever since that age I've been preparing myself, either conciously or subconsciously, in every way possible to accept love and live in joy and bliss along with carrying the responsibilities as a wife.

Today I can happily say that I'm a married woman. A woman who was looked upon by another family and they believed I was best suited for their son. Mindblowing yet beautiful at the same time

No matter how much I thank Allah it's never enough at all

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in

And among His Signs is this, that He created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find repose in them, and He has put between you affection and mercy. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who reflect.

So that you may find peace and tranquility within her

May Allah make all the married women a source of peace  for their husbands. Aameen 💕

The whole concept of marriage is one that completes you psychologically, physically, mentally and spiritually

Because you see, man is created weak

Allah says

And man was created weak

No matter how strong and knowledgable you are there must be someone who completes you. At the end of the day nobody is perfect because perfection belongs to Allah

None of us can live alone because God created our father Adam and our Mother Hawa for him to have a partner even though he was an inhabitant of heaven where everything is perfect and no sadness will touch them therein

Truly those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, they will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve

Nobody is perfect

Everyone has an imperfection in one thing or the other

A partner helps by covering up the imperfection or by getting rid of it

And from everything we created a pair

Everything in life has a pair

And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allah).

Moreover, I see that marriage with all it's ups and downs, shapes a person and moulds them into better versions of themselves

One little advice I have for all those looking for spouses or dreaming of spouses

Age is not a measure of marriage

Rather, the other things are, like the desire to make everything lawful and to live as pleases our Lord, as well as the fear of falling into the forbidden

My dears, don't rush and run and trip and fall when it comes to marriage. Talk to your elders if you have a wish of marrying sooner or later and then put your trust in Allah and constantly make du'a. There's nothing like du'a in this world. It's the only way we talk to Allah apart from prayer.

{ اَلدُّعَاءُ مُخُّ اَلْعِبَادَةِ }

“Supplication is the pith of worship.”

Two beautiful du'as are taught to us in the Quran by our Creator جل في علا in the light of marriage

... "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun"

And then the du'a of Musa peace be upon him

"My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me!"

May Allah bless every aching heart with joy beyond measure and every lonely soul with a partner and a soulmate just like how He blessed me with the most complementary person to my soul. Aameen ❤️

Clarity vs. Confusion

Ever had those moments in life where nothing seems to make sense even though you try your very best to put two and two together?

Well, who am I kidding? Without a doubt, every single person who has walked the face of this Earth has felt it, lived through it and most importantly got the better of it and conquered it 😊

In moments like these what I usually do is overthink, which is exactly the opposite of what you should do! I'll tell you why... Overthinking leads to confusion which in turn makes you lose the calm demeanor you would otherwise have. A few random uncalculated turns and your destination turns out to be in the middle of nowhere. yes, you not only arrive at the wrong destination but you are convinced that it's the right one

We've all been there and experienced this, right? So the big question is, how do we come out of without causing too much havoc in our lives?

Simple! As Muslims, we believe that actions are according to intentions

Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him), reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The deeds are considered by the intentions, and a person will get the reward according to his intention. So whoever emigrated for Allah and His Messenger, his emigration will be for Allah and His Messenger; and whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration would be for what he emigrated for"

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Moreover, we believe that nothing in this world is impossible for Allah because He is القادر, The All Capable and He mentions time and again
Certainly Allah has power over all things
So now do you believe me when I say that it's possible to find clarity in confusion? Couldn't crack the code? Need me to elaborate? Your patience in running thin? K k don't worry, I gotcha
So basically the only two thngs you've got to do is, correct intentions in addition to lots of supplications
That's it! Simple as pie
Thank me later guys. You owe me😜 Just kidding. You all don't owe me anything except du'as for a good life in this world and the next
So remember my lovelies. Next time your mind has lost it's way and it seems like you ar standing in the middle of the desrt, know with certainty that Allah is with you. He is السميع البصير The All Hearing The All Seeing. He loves you more than your own mother who gave birth to you does
Narated By 'Umar bin Al-Khattab : Some Sabi (i.e. war prisoners, children and woman only) were brought before the Prophet and behold, a woman amongst them was milking her breasts to feed and whenever she found a child amongst the captives, she took it over her chest and nursed it (she had lost her child but later she found him) the Prophet said to us, "Do you think that this lady can throw her son in the fire?" We replied, "No, if she has the power not to throw it (in the fire)." The Prophet then said, "Allah is more merciful to His slaves than this lady to her son."- Sahih Bukhari.
So the next time tears threaten to spill just raise your hands up to Him and you will see miracles unfold in front of your eyes sooner or later
Peace out ✌

I haf adia
